Metocean

Integrating Metocean data into SIMA enables the user to access recorded or predicted oceanographic weather information. The data can be used to drive automated workflows in order to analyse the impact of changing weather conditions on maritime operations.

The metocean data can be defined in two input reference systems

Metocean Reference System
SIMA Reference System

The input system is chosen when calculating the output to be used in downstream analyses

The Metocean Task in SIMA supports the following types of metocean data:

Scatter data
Hindcast data
Long Term Statistics
