HAWC2 HTC File Import The htc file import will import the rotor by reading a htc file as described in How 2 HAWC2, the user’s manual, ver4-7, Torben Juul Larsen and Anders M Hansen. The importer will read all main_body elements in the *.htc file, but only the blade and the eccenticity file will be connected to eachother. The tower and shaft may be imported as well, but these should with care since this importer is limited to the rotor (blade and eccentricity line). The beam element structural data should be given as listed in Table 1 in the Hawc2 user manual. It is not possible to import the anisotropic beam element in HAWC22. The gyration radius about the local x-axis is imported as –1, as the input files in HAWC2 does not provide any information regarding this parameter. This value must be corrected by the user. There is an option to interpolate the airfoil in the importer. If one does not check this box, only the original airfoil data sets are imported. If the box is checked, SIMA generates new sets of airfoil data based on the thickness to chord ratio of each cross section. This is done with linear interpolation.
