GDF Geometry

The geometry of the body defined by a GDF (Wamit Geometry Data File) file.

The GDF format is a plain-text file used to define the geometry of floating or submerged bodies for wave interaction analysis.

1. GDF file import

  • Parent : Name of the parent body. This is used to associate the GDF geometry with a specific body in the model.

  • File : The GDF file containing the geometry data. This file should be in the correct format and contain the necessary information to define the geometry of the body.

2. Options

  • Visability: Show GDF geometry

  • Show mesh: Show mesh
