Static Calculation This editor contains all parameters available to configure the static calculation of a SIMO task. The following choices are available: Calculate Euilibrium: When this option is on SIMO will iterate to find an equilibrium position for bodies which will be used as the initial position for any consecutive timedomain simulation. See Equilibrium Calculation for details about additional input. Calculate Eigenvalues: When this option is on, eigenvalues will be calculated for the model. See Eigenvalue Calculation for further details. Write Visualization File: When this option is on a 3D visualization of the model in the static configuration will be available. 1. Restrain Local Degrees of Freedom Unless the Newton-Raphson equilibrium calculation method is selected it is possible to restrain one or more body local degrees of freedom. These restraints will be applied both in static and dynamic simulation. 2. Static Result Storage Additional static results can be selected in the Storage tab. See Static Results for more details.
