Static Results

After a static calculation has been run the static position and static forces acting on the body in this position will be available as results for each body. If equilibrium calculation is turned on, static position is the position found by the equilibrium calculation procedure. If the equilibrium calculation was unsuccessful it will be the last position used in the calculation procedure.

All static forces are presented in the body local coordinate system. In addition, the sum of all forces acting on a body is given in Total force.

Note the following when interpreting the different force components:

The force Positioning elements include model elements shown in the navigator under this name and the force from the Catenary System.
The force Distributed forces include forces from both Slender Elements and Fixed Body Elements.

1. Additional Static Results

Storage of additional static results can be selected in the Storage tab. The following options are available:

Store Catenary Lines Results: This option enables storage of additional results for each line in all Catenary Systems. This include anchor coordinates, line profile, and tension distribution.
