Double Symmetric Cross Section

The cross section is used to model bi-symmetric parts of the slender system. The cross section is similar to the AxisymmetricCrossSection, but can have different stiffness properties and load coefficients in / around the two local axes.

The hydrodynamic load models available for double symmetric cross sections are:

  • Morison’s generalized Equation

  • Morison partly submerged cross sections

  • MacCamy Fuchs

  • Potential flow

  • No hydrodynamic loads
