A RIFLEX analysis.

RIFLEX was developed as a tool for analysis of flexible marine riser systems, but is also suited for any type of slender structure, such as mooring lines, umbilicals, steel pipelines and conventional risers.

1. Work Array Memory Settings

The memory allocation for RIFLEX modules can be controlled using environment variables. The variables specify the size in million bytes (= 4 × million integer words). Allowed range: 4–1600.

A word refers to a unit of computer memory — specifically a 32-bit (4-byte) integer word. So 9,000,000 words = ~36 MB of RAM allocated to the VIVANA analysis
