Marine growth profile A marine growth profile can be specified either choosing the predefined NORSOK N-003 standard for 59-72degree North manually specifying the thickness and density at each z-level in the global coordinate system The volume loads will be modified if the external area is non-zero. A circular cross-section is assumed and the thickness of the marine growth is added to the radius corresponding to the initial external area. The Morison and MacCamy-Fuchs quadratic drag and added mass coefficients will be modified if the hydrodynamic diameter is non-zero. For double asymmetric cross section and general cross-sections, the diameter of a circular cross-sections with the same external area is used as the hydrodynamic diameter. The added mass coefficients will be scaled by the square of this ratio. The quadratic drag coefficients will be scaled by the ratio of the updated to the initial hydrodynamic diameter. Linear drag coefficients will not be modified. To include the effect of the marine growth, this static load type must be activated in the static loading, Static loading sequence. This is an optional choice choosing the NORSOK N-003 standard profile. The marine growth can be scaled in the Static loading sequence. The growth can alternatively be applied to selected lines and scaled individually. Marine growth is only applied on element with Morison load , partly submerged elements and on elements with MacCamy-Fuchs load. Fish Net Nodal Body
