How to record video

1. Two solutions

  • Export images from dynamic analysis and compose to video

  • Record video by use of external program

2. Export images

  • Open 3D view

  • Right click in 3D view / Dynamic analysis and choose "Export 3D Scene animation to images"

  • Choose "export folder" and "image size"

  • Windows Photo App can be used to compose video:

    • Create new video

    • Drag images to project library / storyboard

    • Use "Ctrl+A" and set duration to similar as time step of visualization storage in SIMA

    • Press play

3. External recording

  • Screen capturing sowftware can be used to record video

  • Xbox Game Bar is free Windows 10 program that can be used for screen recording

  • Choose the SIMA window (Xbox Game Bar does only record the chosen window)

  • Press "Windows logo key + alt + R" to start recording, record bar appears, press "stop" to finish ()

  • Press "Windows logo key + G" to check recording

  • Windows Photo App can be used to crop the length of the video.

  • Tip:

    • Minimize all parts of the SIMA window except the 3D view to get the best view of the model

    • To show graphed results (motions, forces, etc.) together with the 3D view, right click in graph and choose "attach to view/model name". Drag graphs to where you want them and start recording
