Static Calculation Load Components

Static nodal loads may be specified under this tab. Depending on the selected Reference Frame, the loads are either fixed in the global coordinate system or follow the local coordinate system of a selected element.

1. Static nodal loads in the global coordinate systema

For nodal loads in the global coordinate system the load specification consists of

  • Line

  • Segment number within this line

  • Node number within this segment

  • Degree of freedom, DOF:

    • 1 = Force in global X-direction

    • 2 = Force in global Y-direction

    • 3 = Force in global Z-direction

    • 4 = Moment around the global X-axis

    • 5 = Moment around the global Y-axis

    • 6 = Moment around the global Z-axis

  • Load magnitude og the force or moment to be applied

  • Reference Frame = Global

2. Static nodal loads in a local element coordinate systema

For nodal loads in a local element coordinate system the load specification consists of

  • Line

  • Segment number within this line

  • Element number within this segment

  • Degree of freedom, DOF:

    • 1 = Force in local X-direction at node 1 of the element

    • 2 = Force in local Y-direction at node 1 of the element

    • 3 = Force in local Z-direction at node 1 of the element

    • 4 = Moment around the local X-axis at node 1 of the element

    • 5 = Moment around the local Y-axis at node 1 of the element

    • 6 = Moment around the local Z-axis at node 1 of the element

    • 7 = Force in local X-direction at node 2 of the element

    • 8 = Force in local Y-direction at node 2 of the element

    • 9 = Force in local Z-direction at node 2 of the element

    • 10 = Moment around the local X-axis at node 2 of the element

    • 11 = Moment around the local Y-axis at node 2 of the element

    • 12 = Moment around the local Z-axis at node 2 of the element

  • Load magnitude of the force or moment to be applied

  • Reference Frame = Local
